No menu for settings worse yet- No sound!

Got the app a couple of years ago and revisited it again this Christmas because of the 50 year anniversary update I got - see a cute record player with settings on it for on/off and sound level. I have it set to on and set at top of sound level and voilà ! Guess what - no sound! I deleted it and reloaded it to "reset" the app, checked the only "settings" I can see and guess what voilà no sound. Tapped all over the app to trigger a menu for othe settings and guess what - no menu pops up even tho there is a screen shot in the App Store for this app showing a menu! Whats up with that??
